Today I broke into my own house, using only garden tools and a lawn chair. Oh man, if burglers only burgled their own houses I would be so awesome. |

Here are some events that have recently happened:
Got work as an un-official paid companion, kind of like my mother keeps telling my Poor Gentlewomen used to have to do but much more manly. In theory I am helping our catsitter with catsitting, housework, and errands, but mostly I am pretending that everything she says is very interesting. (And she says a lot, I mean sometimes I get into teh car and do not have time to say "good morning" before she starts, or I will try to say something and she will just talk right over me.) I complain a lot but that is just how I roll, it is actually a pretty excellent job, at times I get paid to just play with cats.
Had another tea party. There is not a whole lot to say about this one, there were far more varieties of cake.
Went to Canada for a week. They do things differently over there! Foreigners: they're not us. That really sums it up!
In a few weeks I will be turning eighteen, this is a pretty exciting thing! I am excited. This also means ti is pretty terrible that I cannot drive, but I have Many Reasons, mostly due to my Delicate Condition that is otherwise known as Being Lazy and Having Strongly Differing Opinions With the Driving Instructor (I think she is terrible, she does not! Crazy.)
Also, I think I have graduated past most of my teeny!goth stage, the other day I was cleaning my room and got rid of a lot of my black articles, I mean I just do not wear them anymore! Goodbye, messy black eyeliner and conviction that I was wicked misunderstood, I shall miss you! I suspect that next will be my Tortured Artist Stage, complete with...well, messy non-black eyeliner and convitction that my art is wicked misunderstood. It is a change, yes? |

A lot of things have been going down recently, that is the way I roll. Hardcore.
Most notably, I am switching into Visual Art for my major next year. This is pretty much the most exciting thing ever, I mean the vaccination for smallpox is nothing next to this.
In other news: Cats. They're pretty excellent.
And now, news about my summer job:
Here is the imaginary dialogue I had with petco.
ME: Good lord, those are some tiny and adorable baby bunnies. PETCO: Yep. ME: I must work here over the summer. We have similar missions in life! Pets for all! PETCO: Yep. ME: May I play with animals all day long, and frolic in the aisles? PETCO: No. ME: May I be a part of the Doggie Day Camp, even though I am under eighteen with no previous training? PETCO: No. ME: May I work as an assistant groomer, even though I am under eighteen with no previous training? PETCO: No. ME: May I...clean the animal's cages? PETCO: No. ME: ...nevermind. PETCO: Yep.
In short: I will not be working at petco. Right now I've got my application in at a few other places, we will wait and see. Also am taking a drawing course at the MFA, I am going to have to take the train into boston on my own like a big kid! That's pretty scary. |

So my mother has decided that she will call me Quinn. Although it is a step in the right direction, because it is both a boy and a girl's name, she is still very "HAHA you will never change your name" about it. Opinions? I think it's a pretty neat name. |

Sometimes I catch myself wondering if my cats get jealous when I look at pictures of other cats online. Then I make myself write "cats do not think on the same emotional levels as humans" over and over again fifty times.
Yesterday I thought jayne had died because I couldn't get in touch with her. Called my mother in hysterics and was told firmly that there was no plausible way jayne jhad died. Felt foolish. (They were very manly hysterics.)
Have decided that apples are my favorite fruit, aesthetically speaking. Edibly speaking, my favorite fruit is marischino cherries, or possibly pickles. It depends on whether I am eating a sandwich or a sunday.
In other news, had excellent tea party on wednesday with jayne. Photos will be supplied under cut. (Only of the table. Jayne has all the photos of us dressed outrageously and also posing like models. By "Posing like models" I mean "climbing all over the cat ladder and sneering". )
( This is the cut under which photos are being supplied. ) |

Oh man. Someone find me a college that won't make me room with a girl. I know that boarding high school are wicked strict abou tit, but isn't there some college that will put me in with a boy? Boo! This is worse than when I found out that the marines were seperated by sex.
Stop the madness! |

My mother: You want me to go to bed so that you can get naked? Me: ...yes.
Oh out-of-context conversations, I delight in you.
I would just like to clear up any doubts right now: I really like my cats. I am also fully aware that they are not people. They have never been people, they will never BE people, they're. just. cats. Totally different level of thought and instincts! I hate people who think that they're pets are people, it's not the same.
(Please note that I still like cats more than people. Thus acknowledging the difference!)

Aww. I just found out that boot camp is seperated by sexes. That sucks, I would get stuck with a bunch of girls all the time, I want to do boy boot camp! Oh marines, you will never get to hang out iwth me now. ...also I don't want to do any like, fighting or whatever. I just want to be hardcore and get yelled at and stuff.
Other news in my life since the last six months I posted! --Girls are a little CRAZY. I am not dating anymore! (That is a crazy lie. I just meant for a little bit. Also, because Current Interst and I have no realistic compatibility. Boo!)
--English class is draining my soul.
--I am going to be the BEST VET EVAR. I am so excited to cut animals up and sew them back together! By which I am CURE them.
--Oh man. Oh man. |

I went to six flags! It was very exciting. I won a pair of bunny ears by virtue of looking nineteen and being sixteen. Silly guess your age man! Also got a nosebleed, probably from intense rides.
Then on the way home I saw a sexy boy and his name was jhim! It was pretty exciting, he was all buyin' a sub while I was buying some pizza. Then we partied.
Then yesterday I went to old navy. I have gone there two other times in the past year, and both times I have seen julie. And I saw her again today, it was creepy! Oh groundhog day syndrome. What am I doing wrong?
Also,. I have a lot of summer work that I should have done a long time ago.
To do list: -Spanish 2 Course -Read bible -Memorize The Idea of Order at Key West by Wallace Stevens -Write marriage celebration
-read In Cold Blood -Read The Elements of Style -Possibly read some book for history? Not sure. |

So I am back from camping! Exciting, yes? Yes.
Highlights included: --My cousin shelly and I thinking that the camp of boys had stolen our bathing suit bottoms. Not really, because they were only like ten or eleven except for the counselers, but still! It turned out to be my mother. Oh alzheimers! --Oh man, I got some major burnage. I thought I had skin cancer but it turned out that it was just second-degree-burn grossness. Oh sun! You and your crazy UV rays! Also, oh stomach! You and your crazy never seen sun before ways! Really though, I put on a lot of sun screen. And now I'm gross and peely.
Now I have to do a lot of spanish work. Bleaugh. |

Recently: -Gave myself haircut (more of a trim, really. Don't worry.) -Was threatened with being raped to death. Whoa, kid, way to cross a line. -Got a debit card! Oh man I am a PROFFESIONAL now. Me and burger king are tight except when I hate it.
Also got interesting neuropsyche testing results! SInce most of it was boring, I will cut right to the chase and say that they decided my IQ was 124, but I am much better in verbal. Aww. Also, it was hilariou because my parents were semi-quoted in the report as saying how sometimes I was a girl and sometimes I was a boy, and I had a boy name and a girl name, which I did not use consistently. Haha guys, way to miss the point. |

Somebody grabbed my bottom at work the other day! I am trying to convince myself that it was somehow an accident because I still do not know who it was. Disturbing.
Other than than and working eight hours two days in a row, things are EXCELLENT. |

Aww. True Adventure of 2 Girls in Love is the most adorable movie ever. Lesbians! One of whom dresses in boy's clothing and has adorable red hair! And poetry! And a little bit of sex! And awkward silences! And aww. I'll be quiet now. But still, it rememnded me why I like girls more than boys at work who make really really obvious attempts to pick up on me.
OH MAN. Eight hour days are NOT part time! That is full time! I am sixteen! It is almost midnight! I just saw an adorable movie about lesbians! I am so overtired and full of aww (not awe) that I am mostly hysterical!
Hmm. Tomorrow if I have any dignity left I will rewrite this post so that it does not sound like I am thirteen and talking about cute boys.
(OH MAN that girl was adorable.) |

Points of interest since last post:
--Got a job! I am working at burger king now, hardcore! they want me to be there like seven hours a day, it is crazy. Also, for a while there everyone thought I was a boy! Hilarity. More on that later.
--Got a kitten! his name is Johnny. He attacks clyde and clyde attempts to lick him to death. We seperate them usaully but they have been spending more time together. Johnny is adorable but needs to learn that he cannot climb my bare leg using his claws. Also he does not have the classic good looks of clyde!
--For a day I was ROBOT PERSON. Meaning they had to do some weird check with my heart that I get every couple years so I wore around wires and those sticky pads on my chest and stuff. It was pretty funny!
--Am now attending summer school. Stupid withdrawal for second term! Anyway, I am going to catholic memorial near boston. It sounds a lot more hilarious than it is, I have not seen a single priest or nun yet! Nuns are sexy, you just know that are wearing garter belts under those robes. And priests are just funny.
--More on that: Oh man people are calling me sir all over the place! I like to think that it is because I am devilishly handsome, or that at least it is my manly air of sweat and grease which springs from working at burger king. Probably though it is jsut because ther si such a bigger difference between "boy" clothes and "girl" clothes during the summer as opposed to winter. |

Hmm. Today I attended brief classes. Playing never have I ever with your math class and teacher is funny! It's a good thing he's leaving or he could report a lot of people to DC, but luckily not me because I am intensely straightedge and don't live in the dorms! Also there was some delicious lunch courtesy of jayne. And walking! And oh man, do you have any idea how many of the new movies are depressing? Why can't we make happy movies? I like to laugh! Not to hide in ym closet and cry!
Then I came home. I am planting things! To be more specific, basil, marigolds, and tomatoes. I would like to plant roses but my mother is hesitant! We have a compost bin, compost is cool stuff. Also there are woods behind my house, and in the woods in a leaf pile that we and various neighbors contribute to. Under that pile is a lot of compost! Mmm, compost. You help plants grow!
Then I went to candlelight at school. Oh man, I totally lit my program on fire accidentally and then I tried to blow it out but it didn't work so I had to do that thing where I dropped it and stomped on it. I can't believe I actually did that, I always thought it was one of those motions you see on television but that never really happens! Oh my.
Then I came home and went for a wlak. They had mowed (mown?) the grass in the park! I collected the dead grass and made a large male/female symbol and wrote "Gender Revolution" (Or actually technically I wrote GENDER REVOlUTiON") under it! IN GRASS. Oh man, I have a lot of free time. Also it was dark out, people in the houses just looked out and saw this kid playing with grass and giggling. I am a little crazy! Man, sometimes I really wish I could relax about the whole genderqueer thing and not always make such a huge deal about it. It would be pretty sweet to just not have it hanging over my head that I AM DIFFERENT (nurr). And like I said, I know a lot of that is because I choose to make a big deal out of it, and refuse to get called a girl or whatever, but I feel like if I don't, no one will and everyone'll just be like, yeah...butch chick. And honestly, a lot of people DO still think of me as a girl, just they don't SAY it. Heck, I know all my friends outside of school still call me annie, even if I correct them. The frustrating part is that I can't really change that, because some people just are unable to think except in boy/girl terms. But, since I can't live in boy/girl terms (and believe me, sometimes I really wish I could) I have to be like, hey. No. I guess the point is just that I wish I at least knew someone else who wasn't like, I am a boy/girl!, since it's just weird and lonely to be the only one.
BUT HEY YOU'RE A COOL PERSON And like kimya dawson says:
So if you wanna burn yourself Remember that I love you And if you wanna cut yourself Remember that I love you If you wanna kill yourself Remember that I love you Call me up before you're dead We can make some plans instead Send me an IM I'll be your friend.
Giggles. |

Hmm I have not updated since like forever, I have been a busy kid! Well not really busy, I just have not been on the computer so much recently. I have been busy with my COOLER THAN YOU friends.
So go listen to Jeffrey Lewis. He can't really sing. Or write that well. But he's pretty amazing. So, do that, I guess. Good times!
What has been going on recently? Mostly just been busy with school type stuff. Oh, last weekend I went to some writer convention thing. it was in vermont! It was interesting, I am glad I went. I can fit a MATTRESS in my CLOSET! Also oh man it is NOT within my capabilities to make friends in like four days. NOT FUN.
So I'm doing this thing. I figure I'll ramble about that for a bit because honestly it's been like all I'm thinking about even though I have a billion things I should be doing for school NURR.
Anyway. Alice in wonderland, right? Awesome. So I'm trying to do like a rewrite type thing. But also PICTURES. Oh man complex costumes, I've got alice and the white rabbit (otherwise known as Glitter Guess Queen) and most of teh Cheshire Cat done, and I've got at least a rough idea for the others but I think I will be broke for a while!
Anyway the point is that at some point I am going to have to bother people into wearing things and puttingon weird makeup because I am only one person and cannot be multiple people at once!
So anyone who will not be like I'M NOT WEARING THAT(they are decent I promise!)and who is at least roughly my size(because I sized everything to myself out of habit)and who wants to be my best friend over the next month or so tell me! I might even pay you. Like a dollar. Or cookies! Cookies are more likely. |
